6th grader is wearing Packers jersey every day to beat record

GREEN BAY (WKOW) – A sixth-grader in western Wisconsin is trying to break a record by wearing his Green Bay Packers jersey every day.

David Pehl, of Holmen, says the Packers jersey was given to him for Christmas a couple of years ago and he hasn't taken it off since then.  Pehl says the jersey is hand-washed every other day.

After 1, 034 days of consecutive wear, the jersey has faded and the name on the back "Rodgers" is barely legible.

According to WKBT-TV, David's dad, Dave Pehl, says it might be his fault because he told his son that a boy wore a Brett Favre jersey for four years so now his son is shooting to beat that record.
