Donald Driver promotes new book in Madison Friday

MADISON (WKOW) -- Retired Green Bay Packers star Donald Driver made a stop in Madison Friday.

The Dancing with the Stars and Super Bowl Champion held a book signing for his new autobiography, "Driven."

Hundreds of fans lined up outside Barnes and Noble to get an autograph from Driver. He said those fans really make it special.

"People stayed out all night just to get a glimpse of me, but also just to buy my book and shake my hand," Driver said. "So, that tells you how much they love me, but also how much I love them, because without them I wouldn't be the person I am today."

"Driven" chronicles Driver's life spent overcoming obstacles. From when he lived with his mother on the streets of Houston in a U-Haul trailer, to becoming the Packers' all-time leading receiver and winning "Dancing with the Stars".

Driver has also written a series of children's books centering around football to help teach life lessons about handling adversity and disappointment.
