MADISON (WKOW) -- The Badgers second bye week seemed to come at exactly the right time. The Badger haven't been overwhelmed with a great number of injuries, but one of their core pieces is recovering with a hamstring injury. Senior linebacker Chris Borland said Monday that he expects to play at Iowa on Saturday, after missing the entire second half against Illinois on October 19 with a hamstring pull. He plans on taking it easy at practice this week as he doesn't want to think about missing any more time.
"It'd be tough," Borland said of potentially missing another game. "I don't think I really think that way but missing a game your senior year would be really difficult to deal with, but I don't think I'm going to miss a game."
Coach Gary Andersen said Monday if the Badgers had played last Saturday, Borland would not have suited up. Though the coach has a good feeling the senior linebacker will be good to go for the Hawkeyes.
"Missing a Big Ten game is big for Chris," Andersen said. "He basically missed the Illinois game already so he doesn't want that to happen and neither do we."
