Chippewa Falls fifth-grader facing expulsion

Eau Claire (WQOW) - A young boy faces possible expulsion from school after police in Chippewa Falls say he brought a knife on a school bus, and later threatened other students.

Police say the eleven year old boy is a fifth grader in a Chippewa Falls elementary school.  He allegedly showed a folding knife to other students on the bus.  Police say later that day he told those students that if they told anyone about it, he would kill them.  The Chippewa Falls School Board has set an expulsion hearing for the boy.  Police are still investigating and trying to determine if he is old enough to face charges in juvenile court.
