Gas prices expected to keep dropping

Posted:

Eau Claire (WQOW) - Gas prices took another tumble in Eau Claire today and experts expect them to keep dropping for awhile.

Gas in Eau Claire fell another nickel. It's now $3.29 a gallon.

Analysts at gasbuddy.com expect prices to drop at least another ten to fifteen cents a gallon by the end of the year.  They credit the drop to lower crude oil prices, the sale of winter-blend gas, which is cheaper to make, and the fact that Midwest refineries are operating at 94 percent capacity, which is better than all other regions of the nation.
