Monona police looking for armed robbery suspect


MONONA (WKOW) -- Police in Monona are looking for a man who they say robbed a woman at gunpoint.

It happened before 5:30 p.m. Monday in the 5700 block of Monona Drive.

Police say the woman had just parked her car in a lot behind a building when she was robbed. Officers say the suspect pulled the woman to the ground and took her purse.

Investigators brought a K9 but the dog lost the scent.

Police describe the suspect as a black man in his mid-20s, 5'9'', 175 lbs., last seen wearing dark clothing with a red T-shirt under his coat and a black baseball-style cap.
