DNR closes another Wolf hunting Zone

Eau Claire (WQOW) - The wolf hunting zone that covers much of western Wisconsin will be closed tomorrow afternoon.

The DNR says hunters and trappers have taken 29 wolves in zone six.  The quota is thirty.  Four other wolf zones are already closed leaving just zone three as the only one still open to hunters and trappers. That zone includes parts of Rusk, Taylor, Washburn, and Burnett counties.   So far 197 animals have been killed. The quota this year is 251.
