Christmas wish granted by Eau Claire hair salon

Eau Claire (WQOW) - One girl's Christmas wish came early thanks to an Eau Claire hairstylist.

Libby Olson was diagnosed with alopecia when she was two years old.  Alopecia is a disease that leads to hair loss.  Julie Parker from Cutting Edge salon found out about Libby and her wish for hair.  She is creating a wig using Cyberhair.  Cyberhair requires a mold to be made to ensure the wig will fit well.  Wednesday night, Julie created the mold.  Libby will soon be able to swim, run, and play without worrying about it falling off.

"Thank you! thank you very much! I am very elated about this whole thing," Libby said.

The wig should be ready within seven weeks, just in time for Christmas.
