Inspectors say Syrian chemical weapons site abandoned

Posted:

SYRIA (WKOW) -- Chemical weapons inspectors say Syria has provided video and photographs showing a chemical weapons site dismantled and abandoned.

On Thursday, the "Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons" says the pictures do show an empty building.  They were tagged to give the exact location, time and have been authenticated by international inspectors.

Last month, inspectors visited 21 of 23 chemical weapons sites but couldn't visit two because of security concerns.  This was one of the sites in war-torn Aleppo.
