Pardeeville couple killed in Thursday crash

TOWN OF WYOCENA (WKOW) -- The Columbia County Sheriff's Office has released the names of the victims in a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon.

Killed in the accident were Pardeeville residents 84-year-old Eldon Glick and his 84-year-old wife, Le Veta Glick.

The accident happened at the intersection of County Highway P and Pardeeville Road in the Town of Wyocena.

Preliminary investigation reveals the Glicks were in a GMC pick-up attempting to make a left hand turn from Pardeeville Road onto CTH P to travel westbound, when it proceeded into the path of a mini-van heading east on CTH P.

The operator and only occupant of the mini-van, a 38-year-old female from Friesland, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Divine Savior Hospital in Portage.

All occupants were wearing seatbelts.  Alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors in the crash.

The Columbia County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by the Pardeeville Fire Department, Pardeeville EMS, Divine Savior EMS, Medflight, Columbia County Medical Examiner's Office, Columbia County Highway Department, and Blystone's Towing.

The crash remains under investigation by the Columbia County Sheriff's Office and Columbia County Medical Examiner.
