1 dead, 1 injured in separate WI cycle crashes

KENOSHA (WKOW) -- Kenosha County authorities say two separate motorcycle crashes occurred within 30 minutes of each other this weekend, leaving one man dead and another with critical injuries.

Both crashes happened Saturday afternoon. Neither rider was wearing a helmet.

The first occurred about 2:20 p.m. Four riders were riding together when a strong gust of wind caused 51-year-old Joseph F. Fox to lose control. The Village of Bristol resident was knocked from his motorcycle and hit his head.

Half an hour later, another motorcycle rider in the Town of Brighton lost control on a curve. He was thrown from his motorcycle and also hit his head.

He was airlifted to a hospital, where sheriff's deputies say he was in critical condition. Authorities are still trying to confirm his identity.
