Second tropical storm stalls aid to Philippines

TACLOBAN, PHILIPPINES (WKOW) -- As the Philippine government continues to count the dead from Typhoon Haiyan, another tropical depression is hitting the area.

This storm is not strong, but is holding up desperately needed aid.

As of Tuesday morning, officials have counted more than 1,700 bodies, but say that number may be just scratching the surface. They fear Haiyan may have killed as many as 10,000 people.

Thousands more are in desperate need of food and medical care.

Survivors in Tacloban say they are running low on supplies. Aid organizations and military troops have had trouble delivering food, water and medical supplies because of the blocked roads and devastating damage.
