Packers sign Flynn

GREEN BAY -- The Packers once again have a new backup quarterback. The club signed Matt Flynn on Tuesday. They placed Seneca Wallace on the injured reserve.

The Packers worked Flynn out on Monday as they tried to find a healthy backup for Scott Tolzien this week in New York. Flynn was an obvious fit. The sixth-year player out of LSU was drafted by the Packers in the seventh round in 2008. He spent four seasons as Aaron Rodgers' backup before signing with Seattle. Flynn spent one season with the Seahawks. He's had a rough year. Flynn has been cut by Oakland and Buffalo in 2013.

Wallace appeared in two games for the Packers. He started on Sunday before limping off with a groin pull.
