Local business agrees to fine in employee death case

Eau Claire (WQOW) - A local business that was cited by OSHA after the death of one of its employees has agreed to pay fines of more than $15,000.

James bridges from Eau Claire died in June after falling off an apartment complex under construction in Altoona.

OSHA issued ten citations against his employer, C&E Wurzer Builders. OSHA accused the company of failing to provide any systems to prevent falls, or training workers on how to prevent falls.  OSHA told us today the company is not contesting the citations or the fines.
