Baldwin, Altoona (WQOW) -- Two more area athletes make their college decisions official, as Abby Klopp and Madi Whitehead sign their letters of intent.
Klopp, a standout softball pitcher from Baldwin-Woodville who has led the Blackhawks to two straight WIAA State Tournament appearances, signs with Division I Indiana State.
"I toured a lot of campuses and I really liked Indiana's [Indiana State's]. They have a great teaching program and that's what I want to go into. I also like their coaching staff, so I just felt like it was a good fit for me."
Altoona's Madi Whitehead helped the Railroaders reach the WIAA State Girls Volleyball Tournament for the first time since 1976. Whitehead signs a Division II letter of intent to continue her volleyball career at Northern Michigan.
"Since I was a little girl, I've always wanted to play college volleyball," says Whitehead, "I just never thought it would actually happen. I really like the atmosphere there, I really like the coaches and just how it felt about how my team would be too."
