UPDATE: Menomonie man now charged in domestic abuse investigation

Dunn County (WQOW) - Domestic abuse charges are filed against a Menomonie man.

Joshua Morrow has been accused of trying to strangle a woman and also threatening her with a knife.

Morrow was taken to the Mayo Clinic in Menomonie for injuries unrelated to the incident.  Police say when he was released from the hospital, Morrow escaped custody, and as he took off, was hit by a car.  Morrow was then taken to an Eau Claire hospital to be treated.

He's now been charged with two felonies and three misdemeanors.

Dunn County (WQOW)- A man who tried to run from police was hit by a passing car in Menomonie on Saturday. 

On Saturday afternoon Menomonie police were called to investigate a domestic abuse complaint at an address on Kasrud Street. The victim of the alleged abuse said that Joshua Morrow physically abused her and threatened her with a knife.  Upon investigation by police Morrow was taken into custody. 

He was then taken to the Mayo Clinic in Menomonie for injuries unrelated to the incident. Police say when he was released from the hospital Morrow escaped custody, and while fleeing, was hit by a passing car. Morrow was then taken to Eau Claire to be treated. 

Menomonie police say Morrow has been referred to the D.A.'s office for possible charges related to domestic abuse.
