Schofield, Chippewa Falls (WQOW) -- A pair of local teams punched their tickets to Madison on Friday and stand just one win away from a state title.

In division five, Stanley-Boyd overcame a 14-point deficit to the defending champs Amherst. The Orioles scored the game's final 21 points to top the Falcons 28-21. It's the program's first trip to state since 1996.

"It's great," says coach Jeff Koenig. "This team has done a great job. They've had success since 5th grade. They have a great maturity to them. I'm just really proud of how they executed when we needed them to and we just need to heal up some injuries and get ready for Madison."

Stanley-Boyd faces Lancaster in the division five state title game. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m. from Camp Randall Stadium.

In division seven, Glenwood City will get a chance to defend its state title. The Hilltoppers pulled away from Pittsville in the second half, winning 48-26 at Dorais Field. It will be the program's 4th appearance at the state finals.

Glenwood City takes on Black Hawk with a state crown on the line. The game kicks off at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
