DOES IT WORK? Get dirt off your dog's paws with the Paw Wash

Posted:

MADISON (WKOW) -- If you have a dog, we've all been there as they track dirt and mud into your home.

The Paw Wash promises to clean your dog's paws outside, before tracking it inside. It's described by inventors as the "most ingenious dog washer on the market today."

It's a tube that cleans your dog's paws no matter how muddy, sandy or nasty they have become by going in and outdoors.

"Sadie is a yellow lab. She's 9 years old. She's a lot of fun and really easy to train," said Kristin Schmidt, a dog owner from Madison.

Sadie loves walks in the neighborhood, but that means she gets her paws dirty.

"When we give her a bath it is such a process so if we just have to clean her paws in the Paw Wash, it would be way easier," said Schmidt.

Jill, Ethan and Isabelle Genter from Stoughton have two dogs, Lola and Binji.

"Well they're pretty dirty. I'm not a neat freak, but I do like it to be clean," said Jill Genter.

You insert your dog's paws into the cleaner and move the Paw Wash up and down the paw. It promises to get rid of the dirt and mud from each paw. Make sure to buy the right size for your dog. The small wash is for dogs 5 to 20 pounds.

Another point to keep in mind, using the Paw Wash on your dog may be a two-person job.

"It was hard using two people, which I thought was unrealistic," said Ethan Genter. "I don't know how many times you are going to have two people around the house to watch the dogs."

It takes about 30 seconds to clean each paw. There was a mixture of ratings out of four stars.

"Just for us, a two. We're not going to have two people outside watching the dogs all the time," said Ethan Genter.

"I would give it a three because it cleans them pretty good," said Isabelle Genter.

"I would give it a four. It cleaned her paw in about 15 seconds. It was super easy to use," said Schmidt.

The Paw Wash works, but it's an individual choice if it fits into your everyday lifestyle. The Paw Wash costs about $30 dollars online.
