Walker: A governor should be next president

MADISON (WKOW) -- Governor Scott Walker says he thinks the next president should have governor experience.

Gov. Walker appeared on ABC's This Week on Sunday. He was asked who he thought would make an ideal presidential candidate in 2016.

"I think it's got to be an outsider," says Walker. "I think both the presidential and the vice-presidential nominee should either be a former or current governor. People who have done successful things in their states. Who've taken on big reforms. Who are ready to move America forward."
The governor said that would rule out the possible candidates who have been talked about recently, including Wisconsin's Congressman Paul Ryan, Senator Marco Rubio and Senator Ted Cruz.
When Gov. Walker was asked whether he would commit to a full term if re-elected in 2014, he said he could not make that commitment.
