North side woman attempts to stop fleeing car

MADISON (WKOW) -- A 28-year-old Madison woman attempting to stop a thief ends up with road rash.

The woman thankfully did not suffer any serious injuries after falling from a moving car Sunday night.

She states a man had done handiwork around her apartment building.  She saw him in the area and asked him to look at her garbage disposal.  While he was in her apartment, she states he took money from her purse and fled.

The woman followed him out the door and grabbed onto the open driver's side window of his vehicle.  The car moved slowly and she finally released her grip before Dexter Street.  When she fell, she hit her head and believes she may have lost consciousness momentarily.

The suspect has not been caught.
