UW Not Worrying About BCS Bowl

Madison (WQOW) -- Division one college football's longest-running rivalry resumes on Saturday when Wisconsin meets Minnesota for the 123rd time. The Badgers have beaten the Gophers nine-straight times.

With Minnesota ranked 25th in the BCS Standings, it's an opportunity for #19 Wisconsin to keep moving up. The top-14 teams will get the opportunity to play in a BCS bowl. At least one bowl projection has the Badgers winning out in the regular season and then getting a bid to the Orange Bowl. But the Badgers players aren't focused on where they might be spending the holidays.

"I haven't really followed it too much," says sophomore quarterback Joel Stave. "It's something that some guys have talked about. Really, all that matters to me is that we keep winning. I really want to get to 10 wins on this season.."

Adds senior linebacker Chris Borland: "I don't know how much attention I pay to it, it gets brought up a lot. But I hope we make it. I hope we win out and make the BCS, that'd be great. But all we can do is play well against Minnesota and play well against Penn State."
