Crews respond to grass fire in the Town of Seymour


Eau Claire Co. (Press Release) - Around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday night, Township Fire units responded to a report of a grass fire in the 7300 block of Bull Head Pond Road in the Town of Seymour.

When units arrived, they reported approximately one half acre of grassy area on fire headed towards a wooded area of pines. Units were able to access the area and contain the fire in a short period of time prior to it reaching the wooded area. The fire was completely extinguished about an hour later.

The fire consumed about 1 acre of tall grass. No structures were threatened. The fire was under two electrical transmission lines which were also not affected. Cause is unknown at this time.
