Food brawl at Madison grocery store started over money

MADISON (WKOW) -- Armed with a frozen turkey, police say a woman fought with four others at a Madison grocery store.

Madison police report an outrageous incident that began over a money dispute at Woodman's Food Market on the west side.

Police say one woman pulled out a can of pepper spray and shot it into two women's eyes. The five began exchanging punches, rolling around on the floor. One woman armed herself with a frozen turkey, tossing it.

According to a police report, an onlooker called 911 and someone threw a container of yogurt at his head, splattering on the ground along with some spilled bacon.

Police showed up after the fight and caught two of the women as they were driving away. One was cited for disorderly conduct. The other food fighters were not immediately located.
