Glenwood City recall election set for December 17th

Glenwood City (WQOW) - We now know whose names will be on the ballot when it comes to the recall election in Glenwood City.

Incumbent Mayor John Larson will be running against Ken Peterson. Incumbent council-person Dave Graese will be challenged by Chris Schone and incumbent council-person Nancy Hover's challenger will be Barb Standaert. The election process began when a citizens group voiced concern over a proposed frac sand mine near the city's school. Right now, the land is not part of Glenwood City, but it could be annexed to make room for a mine. The election is December 17th.
