Second anonymous donor steps up to help kids in need

Eau Claire (WQOW) - Another anonymous donor has stepped up in a big way as part of an effort to help kids in need.

About two weeks ago, a mystery donor told the United Way of the Greater Chippewa Valley they planned to give $10,500 dollars to help kickstart the Successful Children's Network. That network will focus on children from low income families.

It was set up as a challenge grant which means if the United Way could raise the same amount of money the private donor would match it.  The United Way had raised 15-percent when another anonymous donor came forward to pick up the rest. The donor also set up a $15,000 dollar challenge grant of their own.  There's a deadline of December 31st for matching dollars to be raised.
