FULTON TOWNSHIP (WKOW) -- An Edgerton man was arrested on multiple charges Sunday after he crashed his truck into a house.
39-year-old Wade A. Johnson was arrested for his 4th OWI when his truck hit a home on the 11000 block of N. Dallman Road in Fulton Township.
According to the Rock County Sheriff's office, Johnson was doing burnouts on N. Dallman Rd. when he lost control of the vehicle, went through two lawns, struck a driveway and a tree before coming to rest against the neighbor's house.
Both he and his passenger, 21-year-old Dylan Lambert of Janesville, attempted to flee the scene. Lambert, who had not been drinking, did suffer minor leg injuries in the crash. He was treated at Mercy Hospital and not cited as a result of the incident.
Eventually, Johnson was transported to Rock County Sheriff's Office where he refused to submit a legal blood draw so deputies had to obtain a search warrant for his blood. He was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (4th offense), operating while intoxicated causing injury, reckless driving causing injury, hit and run causing injury, hit and run property damage, and failure to notify the police of a crash.
Johnson was booked into the Rock County Jail, given a mandatory notice of appearance in Rock County Circuit Court next month, and released to a responsible party.
