JAMF Software finalizes $30 million deal with investors

Eau Claire (WQOW) - A software company that's already expanding in downtown Eau Claire has added some big time capital to help that growth.

JAMF Software announced it has finalized a $30 million deal with a group of investors. Based out of Minneapolis, JAMF Software is building a 70,000 square foot office building in the Phoenix Park area. The company's founder is a UW-Eau Claire graduate. He says the company will add more staff not only in Eau Claire, but at other offices as well.

"We opened our first office in Eau Claire about four years ago. At that time there were four of us in that office, we occupied about 2,000 sq feet so it felt like we were operating in a barn. But we quickly filled up all of that space and it's really been one of our primary goals to be working in downtown Eau Claire," said Zach Halmstad, JAMF Founder.

"This is the dream economic development project. You know, you get someone to go to school here, they don't leave, they get a job, they want to stay here, and they go to work. Now they start this little company, now they want to build a new building in downtown Eau Claire. And now they've got an opportunity to grow bigger, and better. It doesn't get any better than that," said Eau Claire Chamber of Commerce President Bob McCoy.

JAMF creates comprehensive management software for Apple products of all kinds.
