Dunn County Sheriff's Department (Press Release) - December 13, 2013 at 5:44 p.m. the Dunn County E-911 Center received a call reporting a two vehicle crash on STH 85, about 1/10 of a mile east of the village of Rock Falls. It was reported that at least two individuals were seriously injured. While officers were enroute to the scene, another caller advised that it may be a double fatality.

Deputies from the Dunn County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene and requested assistance from the Pepin County Sheriff's Office, the Rock Creek Fire Department, and the Dunn County First Responders. When first responders arrived at the scene, they found two individuals that were unable to be revived. The Dunn County Medical Examiner's Office was then called to the scene.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they looked the scene over and talked to witnesses. It was determined that the two vehicles collided head on, and that one vehicle appeared to have been left of center at the time of impact. Because of the seriousness of this crash, we requested assistance of the Wisconsin State Patrol crash investigation team. They are responding and will do a complete reconstruction of this crash and determine what took place.

No names are going to be released at this time because notification of family members has not been completed. More information will be available tomorrow, Saturday, December 14, 20013.
