Madison (WQOW) -- It will be a short holiday break for the Wisconsin football team. The Badgers depart for Orlando on Christmas day.
When the team arrives in Florida, they will continue to prepare for a balanced South Carolina offense. The Gamecocks rank 30th nationally in rushing and 49th in passing. The team is led by quarterback Connor Shaw, who has been one of most efficient passers in college football. This season, he's thrown 21 touchdowns and just one interception.
Adds senior linebacker Chris Borland: "He's a dual-threat quarterback. He extends a lot of plays and has a lot of confidence so, I think we can do some things with our scheme, but more so it'll be guys playing fundamentally: not letting him out of the pass rush lanes and containing him when he does try to scramble."
