UPDATE: Eau Claire police arrest armed robbery suspect


Eau Claire (Press Release) - On Monday, December 30, 2013, the Eau Claire Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Value Center Health Mart Pharmacy located at 2421 E. Clairemont Avenue in the City of Eau Claire.

Upon arrival officers secured the scene and determined that the suspect had fled the area. Officers began the initial investigation which revealed that a lone male entered the business, displayed a handgun and demanded morphine. The suspect then fled the business on foot with an undisclosed amount of morphine. No one was physically injured during the robbery. Officers promptly identified and preserved physical evidence and surveillance images while the Detective Division and Crime Scene Unit were notified to continue the investigation.

On Tuesday, December 31, 2013, Eau Claire Police Department Detectives conducted follow-up investigation that led them to a residence on Barland Street where they located Brent J. McNabb, 06/11/1990, who was identified by officers as a suspect early in the investigation. McNabb was arrested at that time for armed robbery. He will be booked into the Eau Claire County Jail.

Eau Claire (WQOW) - Eau Claire police were called to a report of an armed robbery at Value Center Health Mart Pharmacy on E. Clairemont Ave. late Monday afternoon.

It happened around 4 p.m. Eau Claire police told us a man showed a weapon and ran away.  Crews blocked off the frontage road as well as Blakeley Avenue, which intersects the frontage road.
