Eau Claire (WQOW) - Beginning on Tuesday, it will now be Eau Claire County's turn to consider the Confluence Project.
The county board chair wanted to wait until after the city voted on the project first. In October, the city council pledged $5 million. Developers are asking the county for $5 million to support the proposed community arts center. In the most recent county budget survey, more than 500 people answered a question about whether the county should provide funding. It was about a 50-50 split.
Tuesday, the county's administration committee will take public input before the committee considers a resolution to fund the project. The meeting begins at 4:30 p.m. in the courthouse, room 1277. The resolution will also go before the finance committee. The county board has the final say on the resolution and could take it up later this month.
