Update: Snow has come to an end, travel conditions improve


Eau Claire, WI (WQOW) - The snow has come to an end across Western Wisconsin, leaving snow totals of 5 to 10 inches in most spots.

Here are some of the snow reports...

Eau Claire: 9.0" Breaks old one day record of 7.0" from 1930

Menomonie: 8.2"

Merrillan: 8"

Mondovi: 7"

Black River Falls: 7"

Neillsville: 7"

Hudson: 6.8"

Stanley: 6.7"

Millston: 6.5"

Osseo: 6.5"

Jim Falls: 6.3"

Lublin: 6"

Clear Lake: 6"

Medford: 5"

These are the preliminary reports and other than Eau Claire are NOT official. We'll update this list as more reports come in to the National Weather Service.

The northwest wind gusting to 15 mph will cause some blowing and drifting the rest of this evening and tonight, so even if roads have just been plowed they may become snow covered again.
