(WQOW)-A Black River Falls man is arrested for drinking while driving with his child in the vehicle.
State Patrol says on Wednesday around 5:45 p.m., it went to help 47-year-old Lance Rave get his keys that had been locked in his car. His 2-year-old was locked inside. When troopers got there, they could smell alcohol and saw open containers of alcoholic beverages inside of the car. The Trooper administered Standardized Field Sobriety Tests on Rave. These tests resulted in the arrest of Rave for Operating While Intoxicated 1st Offense with a child less than 16 years of age in the vehicle.
During the investigation it was learned that earlier in the day during a separate incident, Rave had ran his vehicle off of the roadway and became stuck in a ditch.
The child was released to responsible family members.
