Chippewa County (WQOW) - A woman who pleaded guilty to hitting and killing a bicyclist last year is going to prison for five years.

Krista Holler, from Cadott, was sentenced Thursday morning in Chippewa County.

In February, Krista Holler pleaded guilty to one count of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle.  Last June, she was driving a car that hit Dr. Robert Tschabrun.  It happened on Highway G, west of Stanley.  Dr. Tschabrun, a dentist, from Stanley died.  Investigators say Holler had been drinking before the crash. Instead of calling for help when it happened, she allegedly called friends to give her a ride back to the bar. She later told detectives she thought she had hit a deer.

WQOW News 18 was at the sentencing and will bring you coverage from the court room in our newscasts tonight.
