Souper Bowl for Habitat for Humanity

MADISON (WKOW) -- This weekend a great meal can do a great deal of good.  The Dane County Habitat for Humanity is gearing up for an important fundraiser, the annual Souper Bowl.

The Saturday meal is at Madison West High School from 2 to 8 p.m.  All fund raised will go to build Habitat for Humanity homes right here in Dane County.  It typically draws a crowd of over 1,200 people.  For $15 you can get a hand-made ceramic bowl from local artists and students, soup donated from Madison restaurants, bread, salad and dessert!

Cheryl McCollum with the Dane County Habitat for Humanity stopped by Wake Up Wisconsin to talk about the event.  She was joined by Nicole Beyer of the UW Habitat for Humanity chapter.  Click here for more information about the event and the cause it supports.
