Dunn Co. (WQOW) - The owner of an area photography studio has been arrested for allegedly trying to videotape a customer while she was changing.

The Dunn County Sheriff says a 25-year-old woman spotted a hidden video camera in a bathroom at Picture Perfect Photography near Menomonie. The woman says she was changing clothes between photo shoots. Investigators say she removed the memory card from the camera and found images of herself undressing and of James Kernan placing the camera in the bathroom.

The sheriff's office says it has no indication that anyone else was taped without their knowledge. Kernan was arrested on two charges. On Wednesday, a judge set his bond at $200. After it was posted, Kernan was released.

Dunn Co. (Press Release) - On January 21, 2014, a 25-year-old female contacted the Dunn County Sheriff's Office indicating she believed she'd been videotaped in a bathroom without her permission.

The female indicated that she was at a photography business by the name of "Picture Perfect Photography" being operated out of a residence in the Town of Tainter. During one of several trips to the residence's bathroom, the victim observed what she believed to be a hidden video camera in the bathroom where she was changing between shoots.

After removing the memory card from the camera, she viewed its contents and observed a video of the male photographer placing the camera in the bathroom between shoots. The video also showed the victim in states of undress. The victim then contacted the Sheriff's Office.

A search warrant was executed at the residence and 55-year-old James E. Kernan was arrested on a felony charge. At this time, the Sheriff's Office has no indication that any other clients of the business were videoed without their consent.
