MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- The Board of Directors of Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) elected Dan Ariens as their new chairman Friday.
Ariens, president and CEO of Ariens Company of Brillion, pledged to focus on workforce development and an improved business climate.
Ariens is also vice chairman of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, the state job creation agency created by Governor Scott Walker and state Republicans.
Ariens succeeds outgoing WMC Chairman Todd Teske, of Briggs & Stratton Corporation. Robert Kamphuis, president and CEO of Mayville Engineering Company, Inc., will succeed Ariens as WMC vice chairman.
WMC is a 3,500-member state chamber of commerce.
