Walker says federal government helped address propane shortage in WI
MADISON (WKOW) -- Governor Scott Walker is pleased with the way the federal government responded when asked to help with the propane shortage affecting Wisconsin residents.
"You saw the resources freed up to help low income families just like we did at the state level," Walker said Friday. "They've taken action to make sure the regulatory limits that might block propane coming up either by road or by rail have been lifted."
On Thursday, the government released nearly $14 million in low income home energy assistance in Wisconsin.
Walker says he thanked President Obama for his help when the two met in the Milwaukee area on Thursday.
