MADISON (WKOW) -- A late goal from Jake McCabe propelled the Badgers past top-ranked Minnesota 2-1.
Frankie Simonelli put Wisconsin on the board with a power-play goal in the first period. The Gophers tied it back up later in the period. That set the stage for McCabe's game-winner at the 13:47 mark of the third period.
Joel Rumpel notched 31 saves in the victory. Wisconsin snapped Minnesota's 14-game unbeaten streak.
