Craigslist ad leads to sex-assault charge

Posted: Updated:

GREEN BAY (AP) -- Brown County prosecutors say a man posted a Craigslist ad seeking a sitter for twin daughters, and then sexually assaulted a 20-year-old woman who responded.

A WLUK-TV report says 24-year-old Tyler S. Olson of Howard was charged Friday with first-degree sexual assault and false imprisonment.

The criminal complaint says Olson forced the woman to perform sex acts at knife point and then drive him around.  She says she was nearly out of gas so they stopped at about 10 gas stations, where she intentionally enter wrong PIN numbers so she couldn't buy fuel.

They eventually ran out of gas, and when police offered them a ride she told them she needed help.

The complaint says Olson told investigators he has mental-health issues and was just looking for a sexual partner.
