Recall: Uncle Ben's Infused Rice products

MADISON (WKOW) -- A recall has been issued for Uncle Ben's Infused Rice.

Mars Foodservices says three Houston schools reported people experiencing mild flushing and rashes after eating Uncle Ben's Mexican Flavor Infused Rice, which is sold in large bags through wholesale distributors.

The recall does not involve Uncle Ben's products sold in supermarkets, such as ready to heat, boxed, bag or cup items.

Mars foodservices says "a limited amount" of the recalled infused rice is on sale through websites and at some wholesale stores

The FDA, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and state and local officials have been investigating the illnesses.
