Zor Shrine Circus celebrates 60 years in Madison

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -- The Zor Shrine Circus brought animals, acrobats and more to the Alliant Energy Center in Madison this weekend.

WKOW's own Dani Maxwell helped kick off the event Friday night. The show features performing elephants and tigers, as well as clowns, acrobats and more.

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Zor Shrine Circus performing in Madison. Circus Chairman John Thorstad says the show has something for everyone.

"It's great family entertainment," says Thorstad. "There are all kinds of acrobats, motorcycles, animals, clowns. It's a great family event."

The circus has three shows each on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are available at the Alliant Energy Center Coliseum and at local PDQ food stores.
