Roots Ethiopia non-profit works to tell stories of rural communities

Posted: Updated:

MADISON (WKOW) -- After a trip of a lifetime to Ethiopia to document rural communities two women want to share their stories.

Through photography they were able to capture images of hope and connection in the Ethiopian culture. Meghan Walsh, founder of Roots Ethiopia, and Lauren Werner, a photographer, join Wake Up Wisconsin Weekend.

Each picture tells a story. Roots Ethiopia will host an event for the community to showcase the photography. The event will be on Friday, February 21 at Tamarack Studio and Gallery.
