Memorial players honor late principal at basketball game

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -- A Madison Memorial High School basketball game was in part a tribute Saturday night to the school's principal who died earlier this week.

A chair sat empty along the court in memory of Bruce Dahmen. The 61-year-old worked at Memorial for 40 years as a teacher, coach and ultimately principal. Officials say Dahmen died Tuesday while visiting a former student in Tennessee.

The school will hold a service Sunday afternoon to pay tribute to the life-long Spartan. The event starts at 2 p.m. at Memorial.

Tune in to 27 News at 5:30 and 10 on Sunday for a look at how the school is honoring Dahmen.
