MADISON (WKOW) -- A City of Madison Water Utility employee is said to be doing well after being hit by a suspected drunk driver Saturday night.

Water Utility's spokesperson Amy Barrilleaux says the crew member is still in the hospital but "is doing well."  The employee was on the job last night when he was hit.

According to Madison Police, 50-year-old Patrick G. Klitzman was driving on S. Stoughton Road around 11:30 last night when he hit the City utility vehicle.  Police say Klitzman was charged with causing injury while operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Officials say the victim was able to jump to the side to avoid a direct hit.  The victim suffered a fractured leg, but no life threatening injuries.
