Winter storm brings another night of postponed sporting events

(WQOW) - This week's winter storm made Friday night another evening of multiple postponed varsity high school games.

Terry Allen, Regis High School's Athletic Director, said on average his school sees one or two rescheduled games during the winter season. After tonight, he says the total for this season is seven.

The venue and sport play a huge role in the make up game process, he said.

High school hockey is currently in post season play which brings a sense of urgency for the rescheduled games, said Allen.

He compares this winter season's rescheduling problems to the same conflicts spring sports saw last year with no outside games occurring till May.

Almost all of today's WIAA hockey regional finals are postponed until Saturday.
