Walker responds to release of John Doe emails

Posted: Updated:
WASHINGTON, D.C. (WKOW) -- Friday, Governor Scott Walker addressed the release of documents from the John Doe investigation.

While at the National Governors Association's winter meeting, Walker was asked if he knew about the secret email system in the Milwaukee County executive's office.

Walker stressed the investigation ended last march and he was cleared.

He also said his political opponents are trying to draw attention to something that's already been resolved.

"What I think it is with the DNC, with others, both in the state and across the country is they desperately want something negative to happen in Wisconsin. You got a lot of naysayers that would love to see something bad happen in the state and the reality is we're going to stay focused on the things we were elected to do."

Walker also said that he uses an official email account for official business, and a separate account for political business and the two don't mix.
