Middleton teen arrested for using stolen credit cards

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -- A Middleton teenager was in the midst of a shopping spree at East Towne Mall Wednesday, when he was approached by officers.

The teen, 17-year-old Levontre Scott, apparently was using stolen credit cards for his newly purchased items, which included electronics, watches and tennis shoes.

Tucked in his socks officers found credit cards belonging to two men, both whom had their wallets stolen Monday while working out at the Princeton Club on Watts Road.  One of the victims, a 23-year-old, stated he had over $2000 in fraudulent charges on his bill in the past two days.

Scott was arrested for resisting/obstructing, receiving stolen property-2 counts, forgery-uttering, and misappropriation of personal identifying materials.  Additional tentative charges are likely to come.
