Evan Anderson hanging it up after this season

Posted: Updated:

MADISON (WKOW) -- Evan Anderson has announced this will be his last season with the Badger basketball team. The redshirt junior is scheduled to graduate in May.

The center from Stanley will be honored during the senior night ceremony following the regular season home finale against Purdue. He will join seniors Ben Brust and Zach Bohannon. Anderson appeared in 35 games over his three seasons at Wisconsin. He has notched a total of 20 points and 10 rebounds.

"My ultimate goal was to help this team out in any way that I could. No matter how small or how big of a role that would have been. I really feel like I fulfilled that part. I'm glad I was able to come here. It's really a special place to be."

Anderson is slated to graduate in May with a degree in community and environmental sociology with a certificate in criminal justice.
