Eau Claire (WQOW) - A fire leaves behind extensive damage at an Eau Claire home.
The fire started around 7:30 a.m. Friday morning at 542 Centre Street. Flames were shooting out of the roof when crews got there. Firefighters tell News 18 no one was inside the home at the time of the fire and no one was injured.
Crews still have no idea what caused the fire. They say the fire caused $70,000 in damage.

News Release from ECFD The Eau Claire Fire Department responded to a
structure fire at 7:35 a.m. at 542 Centre St.
When crews arrived they found heavy smoke second floor. Crews made an interior attack on the
fire. Crews were later changed to a
exterior attack of the fire due to deteriorating conditions. No occupants were home when crews
arrived. The fire is under
investigation.
